Vintage 10 Inch Shipwright/Carpenter Square Woodworking.
From my personal collection I have for sale a vintage shipwright/carpenter's square.
This antique from yesteryear features a ten inch blade, as well as a brass inlay where the wooden section meets the material being marked.
The area where the blade meets the wood features an unusual 5 pin, four cornered brass inlay.  While not
very
rare, this is seen less than the typical 3 cornered brass inlay.
The wood shows wear from use. There are cartouche upon both sides of the wood, but are largely illegible.  It appears to be stamped with "ECA", possibly the initials of the skilled craftsman who once earned his living in part with this fine antique.
