Description
Star Tool Co Howard Pat 1867 10 Inch Adjustable Bevel Square. This weighs 8 oz unboxed. Leonard D. Howard of St. Johnsbury, VT was granted Pat. No. 70,570 on Nov. 5, 1867 for the design of this tool which was made by the Star Tool Co. of Middletown, CT. The mark is faint. This is in decent condition and was cleaned. The b lade has some staining and a few frosted spots, but nothing too bad patina wise. The edges are good. The handle has some wear and dings, but it's solid. The locking screw does it's job. This ain't pristine, but then tools that it's at least 138 years old, well it sure ain't bad. A collectible patented bevel square for sure! All items for sale unless otherwise noted are purchased and in most cases professionally restored by me. I take pride in offering quality items. Not everything is perfect, but it is as I say it is. Also, I smoke a pipe, drink whiskey, both cheap and good, and cuss more in a hour than most folks do in a month. If any or all of the above bother's ya, well then we ain't got no reason to be doing business.
RULES OF THE GAME - READ ME!
I do my best to ship items as cheap as possible. The shipping method is determined by weight and in some cases, the overall size of the item. Both Ebay and PayPal charge sellers a fee on what they charge for shipping. That is 12% for domestic and 13% for international. Those fees along with the cost of the packing materials is factored into the shipping charge. It costs me more in fees to send a 2 lb package to California than it does to Ohio and a whole lot more to send the same package overseas and I cannot afford to pay those costs. This is a full time business for me and not something I do in my spare time. I do not ship via UPS or Fedex (and they sure ain't any cheaper). I am always happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases. Just add the items to your shopping cart and request that I send an invoice, which I will do as soon as possible. Ebay does not refund the fees on shipping even if I do a partial refund and I would much rather have that money to buy more items to sell.
I only reciprocate Feedback received unless you are a very regular customer. I leave feedback about once a week or so. Don't get excited if I don't leave you feedback right away. Just easier to sit down and do a bunch at a time for me.
Any questions, feel free to email me. However, please keep in mind that I am NOT on-line 24 hours a day. Thank you.
