    Description

    This is a very nice MASTER open salt or salt cellar.  It has a silver holder (most likely silver plated) with a cobalt blue inset fitted for the holder.
    This piece measures about 4 inches in length and stands about 2 inches tall.  The silver holder is marked on the base, twice with "Made in Japan", and once with a "Y" inside a scalloped circle which is likely the maker's mark.  The holder has some pitting in the inside base, and the cobalt insert has some very small fleabites on the two shorter ends.
    It is quite heavy, weighing nearly 9 ounces, thus the slightly higher shipping fees.  Please see photographs for details.
