This is not just another robust android tablet which pretends to be flight instrument. It has dedicated variometer processing unit, with backup IGC logger and audio with front facing speaker.
It works independently even if android is low on battery or is completely discharged.
Did You know that some varios and typical smartpones use not suitable for flying GPS engines? The FlightDeck7c has integrated UBLOX gps, precise IMU and barometric sensors. All of this is sampled hundreds of times per second to delivers instant sound, visual information and weak lift detection.
Ublox engine can provide precise GPS data up to 5 times per second, which gives much better wind and flight data calculations.
Everything is hardwired internally, so no bluetooth or WiFi delays or connection breakups.
