Description
ITEM DESCRIPTIONUp for auction is a Circa 1892-1910
Pink Facet & Ribs Glass Open Salt Cellar Dip Dish.
This large, heavy weight cut and polished glass open salt, known as the Facet & Ribs pattern, was made by many companies both English and American, including Fostoria from 1892-1910.
It is made of a pretty peachy-pink color glass, round in shape, and as the name implies has faceted points on the top half and numerous cut ribs on the lower half.
Examples of this style salt can be seen in 5,000 Open Salts (#333 & 573) by Heacock & Johnson.
It measures 1-1/4” high by 2-3/4” point-to-point and is an excellent example of this style salt with on a few tiny pin point fleabites to a couple of
the end points and to the cut and polished rim.
