These CHANEL soft bound books are both informative and enjoyable, as they weave lovely fantasy tales of the joining of long lost floral scents and tales. It lavishly illustrates with photographs the flowers and the essential fragrance oils that go into the making of the these fragrances, as well as illustrated drawings for the tales themselves. They are perfect bound, with hand-done raffia cord bindings. They are printed in full color on both heavy gloss coated stock for the photographs, and on heavy uncoated stock for some of the beautiful illustrations. The covers are of tinted uncoated stock, and have tipped-on full color images. These are lovely hand-finished printed pieces, and is the entire complete set, in a series of 4 “Voyages & Encounters”. They were produced and printed in France, for CHANEL’s Public Relations Department, in strictly limited quantities. There is an accompanying introductory letter from the Public Relations Director, dated:  “Paris, 1st September 1994. A great vintage item, never to be produced again.
