    A sturdy steel vise, very well made for heavy duty use for holding forming stakes. The vise has channels that make is easy to hold forming stakes in a variety of positions.  Vise can also be used for securely holding various other jewelry forming tools such as stakes, mandrels, and more...
    Vise can be attached and or mounted on to the workbench directly.  Unit has a clamping devise which can be detached to allow the vise be secured directly to the bench. The Base plate of the vise comes with 4 mounting holes, designed to conveniently bolt onto your workbench other work surface (hardware not included).
    The platen jaws on this vice are 3-3/8" by 3-3/8" and have 2 grooves: one runs from front to back in the center and the other groove runs side to side in the rear of the jaw plate. This allows stakes and mandrels to lock and to be mounted in either direction.
