Albert C. Cullmann of  La Crosse, WI Was awarded Patent No. 708,533 on Sept. 9 1902 for his Rafter Bevel & Square tool.  This tool was set up similar to a T-Bevel.  This RARE a
ntique carpentry tool is in very good condition for its age.
There is some wear to the nickel-plating on the handle. The steel blade has some minor staining and patina but it otherwise is in good condition with relatively clear and readable markings (see pics !!).  The markings on the front include the patent date, the
hip and valley rafter cuts and the roof pitch table.
The back markings are the polygons table and bevel cuts.
The thumbscrew turns cleanly and locks in the bevel angle.
Overall, the tool has a 10-5/8" long blade.  The handle is approx. 5-3/4"L below the blade.  No cracks, breaks or repairs.
