Listed for auction are the autographs of prominent husband & wife aviation pioneers Amy Johnson and Jim Mollison. Amy Johnson [1903 1941] was a pioneering English aviator, flying both solo and with her husband Jim Mollison, she set numerous long-distance records during the 1930's. During World War II, she helped the war effort as part of the Air Transport Auxiliary when she was killed in a crash on January 5, 1941. Jim Mollison [1905 1959] was a Scottish pioneering aviator who set numerous distant flight records during the 1930's, and also served with the Royal Air Force at the age of eighteen.
The autographs are signed ''J. Mollison'' and ''Amy Mollison'' in black fountain pen on a album page. The album page measures 3.50 x 3.50 inches, it has trivial surface wear otherwise it is in fine condition, The autographs are authentic, uncommon to obtain and will be a desirable addition to any early aviation collection.
